La presente investigación está entronizada en las familias indígenas, particularmente de la etnia Wayuu y cómo las relaciones que se establecen desde la interculturalidad permean sus dinámicas. Es importante resaltar que en la cultura objeto de estudio las familias se identifican por castas, las cuales están constituidas en células matriarcales pertenecientes a un tótem, que las diferencia de otros grupos, donde el tío materno es la mayor autoridad dentro de la familia y es quien se encarga de los problemas domésticos y de la dirección de los descendientes. En este tipo de estructura la línea materna es fundamental, donde la toma de decisiones recae en la línea consanguínea maternal directa e involucra a hermanos de la madre. Todos estos aspectos se han modificado con el pasar del tiempo, perdiéndose así muchas características culturales, esta problemática está presente en todo el departamento de La Guajira. El presente libro da cuenta de los cambios en la dinámica familiar influyentes en la identidad cultural de los indígenas Wayuu, lo cual es un tema de alta complejidad por las dimensiones socioculturales que permean a dicha comunidad, sus costumbres consuetudinarias y el papel activo de sus miembros, además de los aspectos autorreflexivos y metacognitivos que les corresponde asumir al estar inmersos en un mundo que deben interpretar desde intersubjetividades, sin dejar de lado sus aspectos propios que deben socializar de generación a generación. Por último, se encontró que la tecnología es uno de los principales elementos que han contribuido a la pérdida de esta identidad, pues los jóvenes están muy apegados a las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, generando ello un vehículo de impacto en los cambios de la dinámica familiar.

In the Wayuu culture, families are organized into matrilineal clans with their respective totem, which differentiates them from other groups, where the ma- ternal uncle is the highest authority within the family and is the one in charge of domestic problems and the management of children. Within this organization is the restricted matrilineal that includes the brothers of the mother and eventually the grandmother. All these aspects have changed over time, thus losing many cultural characteristics, this problem is present throughout the department and is reflected in the community cachaca three of the Special, Tourist and Cultural District of Riohacha. It is important to note that the family is not a static institution. Its structural skeleton remains in history however over time and due to social, economic, political and cultural changes its dynamics has been changing establishing a new pattern of interaction among its members. In this way, the general objective of this research is to analyze the changes in family dynamics influencing the cultural identity of the Wayuu indigenous people of the cachaca three community of the Special, Tourist and Cultural District of Riohacha. For this reason, the present investigation is of a qualitative nature. The qualitative methodology provides tools to explore complex situations, addressing the phenomenon of study from various areas. Methodological pluralism, which presents this paradigm, is an indispensable attribute for the success of this re- search, due to the high complexity of its study problem. For all this, the participants of the present investigation are considered as protagonist agents, which maintain an active and self-reflective role, immersed in a world that they must interpret, since they are immersed in that reality. Finally, it was found that technology is one of the main elements that have contributed to the loss of this identity, since young people, according to the interviewees, are very attached to new technologies, the cell phone has modified the communication.
