Esta obra parte del supuesto que las representaciones sociales son identificables a partir de lo discursivo y que las canciones va llenatas son textos culturales, desde los cuales se puede mapear esa forma de conocimiento socialmente construido y compartido entre los autores y el público que hace parte, inicialmente, del Caribe colombiano donde este género musical tiene origen y re levancia. Se trata de una investigación que toma como objeto de abordaje las líricas de canciones vallenatas para identificar repre sentaciones sociales que circulan y se naturalizan en el público con imaginarios sobre la religión, la magia y la crítica social. This work is based on the assumption that social representations are identifiable from the discursive and that vallenato songs are cultural texts from which that form of knowledge socially cons tructed and shared between the authors and the public that is part can be mapped, initially, from the Colombian Caribbean where this musical genre has origin and relevance. This is an investigation that takes as its object the lyrics of vallenato songs to identify social representations that circulate and are naturalized in the public about religion, magic and social criticism. The approach is made from the multidisciplinary lens of literary studies, cultural studies, anthropology and social psychology
