Con el propósito de dar respuesta al objetivo principal, analizar el rol del gerente de construcciones en la ejecución de obras públicas del Distrito de Riohacha, La Guajira, se desarrollaron los siguientes objetivos específicos, en primer lugar se definió las funciones del gerente, para el cual se llevó a cabo un estudio minucioso basándose en conceptos y teorías referente a las funciones del gerente de construcciones, consultando a diferentes autores apoyados en su experiencia; seguidamente se identificó su perfil para dar respuesta al segundo objetivo, tomando como población y muestra las obras cuyos proyectos se encuentran colgados en el Secop I en etapa de ejecución, realizando una encuesta con preguntas cerradas y de selección múltiple, en consecuencia se obtuvieron resultados y se propusieron recomendaciones para el desarrollo apropiado en la ejecución de obras públicas en el Distrito de Riohacha, La Guajira.It is very common to hear that public buildings in the District of Riohacha always present some inconvenience, either in their delivery on time, in their bad design and many other factors, to be able to know the why of these situations and the participation of the manager of constructions in this problem, the following project was carried out, which basically consists in the analysis of the Role of the manager in the construction of public works in the District of Riohacha, this research is of quantitative type and was born in order to respond to Various concerns that exist about the construction processes, with this is intended to determine the functions performed by the construction manager from the beginning to the end of a work.
