Contiene gráficas.La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el turismo cultural como instrumento para el desarrollo de la identidad de los estudiantes de la institución etnoeducativa integral rural internado indígena del Cabo de La Vela sede principal en el municipio de Uribía La Guajira la metodología será de tipo descriptivo, con enfoque cuantitativo y método no experimental transaccional de campo, la población objeto de estudio se encuentra conformada por 48 personas miembros de la institución etnoeducativa integral rural internado indígena del Cabo De La Vela sede principal, en el municipio de Uribía, se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta, se aplicará un formato administrado a la muestra correspondiente, se validó según la opinión de cinco expertos en el tema de estudio. Además, después de analizados los resultados se propusieron lineamientos estratégicos que sirvan de apoyo a futuras investigaciones. Se pudo concluir que la manera en que el turismo cultural puede convertirse en un instrumento para conservar la identidad cultural de los estudiantes de la institución etnoeducativa integral rural internado indígena del Cabo de La Vela es mediante la capacitación y la valoración del patrimonio cultural que se debe transmitir dentro de las mismas comunidades. Es importante que el estudiante entienda que su formación tiene como objetivo servir como un actor que pueda llevar soluciones eficaces a los problemas de sus necesidades sin perder su originalidad.The objective of this research is to analyze cultural tourism as an instrument for the development of the identity of the students of the rural integral ethno-educational institution, indigenous boarding school of Cabo de La Vela, main headquarters in the municipality of Uribía La Guajira, the methodology will be descriptive, With a quantitative approach and a non-experimental transactional field method, the population under study is made up of 48 people who are members of the Cabo De La Vela indigenous boarding school integral rural ethno-educational institution, main headquarters, in the municipality of Uribía, the technique of the survey, a format administered to the corresponding sample will be applied, it was validated according to the opinion of five experts on the subject of study. In addition, after analyzing the results, strategic guidelines were proposed to support future research. It was possible to conclude that the way in which cultural tourism can become an instrument to preserve the cultural identity of the students of the Cabo de La Vela indigenous boarding school comprehensive rural ethno-educational institution is through training and appreciation of the cultural heritage that must be transmit within the same communities.
